Posted almost 5 years ago What is with all of the cat fights and bitchiness we have had on here lately? What is wrong with an anonomys zone? What is wrong with someone speaking their opinion? Everyone has one and if it is different from yours that does not make it wrong. Bitchiness, stupidity, and prejudices are wrong. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago You know, you are right! I am rarely on this site anymore because of the comments and two-faced discussions. I will come on an check my mail, but that's about it. I miss the intellectual banter that this site once had! |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I am amazed by these comments. I have noticed this too. I rarely come on here anymore, I check every now and then to see if it's any better but I find it hasn't. It get the impression that people put down others for their thoughts and involvement. I was thinking about it this weekend. This site seems like a unit in the hospital, you have the good ones that are sincere and up beat, others that put others down because they don't have the education and don't understand nursing, but these are the nurses behind the nurses station telling others what to do. Never assisting the patients or others on the unit. Then you have the ones that are very intelligent that are sharing their knowledge and are out there busting butt. Then theres the nurses that are just grumpy and pissed at the world all the time. I found this interesting. This is a miny hospital. At one time I couldn't get enough of this site, now not so much. I can get on here once a week if even and become upset about checking it out. Oh well...I have stated my thoughts. I thought of writing it on other areas, but figured I'd be put down. I thought it was just me so this freaked me when I saw others feeling the same way.

| Posted almost 5 years ago There are always people who want to put others down. There are so many amazing people on this site - people I look up to and would consider mentors/role models. Just look at the big users - I hope that one day I can be half of the nurse they are. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I am so very disappointed with the way the discussions have gone lately. I have missed the discussions for a very long time and I have posted on this more than once. I just keep coming back hoping that it will change. I am by no means spending the time on here that I did in the past. I see no one posting articles to the library anymore with discussions on them and no new topics started that are of real nursing significance. The “I just have to be right” attitudes and the closed mindedness is very disturbing. IT is amazing how personalities do come out even online. You can get a very good feel for what it would be like to work with someone on here. cdnurse

That's what makes life interesting, not everybody thinks alike.But I can't see the point of having an "anonymous zone". If you have an opinion, then state it but don't be afraid to sign your name. This hiding beyond anonymous is childish and silly and if you can't sign your name to your post, then I'm not interested in reading it. Charlita |

Char: the area is as a few have stated earlier for sensitive topics. Like, docs writing scripts for narcotics, questions of advice for love interests, etc. Some just may want to ask questions that they may be otherwise embarrassed about. Nothing at all to do with being childish, cowardly, or voicing opinions. cdnurse |

I do believe that people have the right to express their opinions and not everyone is going to agree. That is what makes this site interesting, I have truely learned alot just being here and appreciate all the advise and critisim I received.......... Mashell4 |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Where ever there is a group of women, (and yes I am excluding the men on this one) there is bound to be "cat fights". It's just in our nature.We are not all going to agree. What some may call "bitchy", others may call being assertive. However, you should be able to state your opinion without being nasty or rude. Why can't we all just get along???? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Unless there is a personal or direct attack on another user, I see nothing cowardly or childish by posting anonymously. Those of us that would like to see the site become better can express their honest opinions or feelings without the fear of backlash. There are so many people that misunderstand comments and before you know it, the disease has spread into something ugly. This very forum is a perfect example of why being able to post anonymously is so important ----just read some of the responses to other posts. Please note that the discussion began about the cattyness the original author had noticed and now it has turned into a debate on whether it's appropriate to be posting anonymously. Seriously, who cares. Let's not be so sensitive and remember that our tone is reflected in our typing. We could all do well to read before we click to post! -Anonymous for a reason. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I'm laughing (a lot) after reading many of these posts! Women involve too much of their emotions. It's a blessing and a curse. Just grow up and deal everyone...I'm probably younger than most of you posting, and I havn't seen this much estrogen induced battle since high school!
Lighten up! This is a place of refuge, and relaxation for many of us. A place to learn, a place to make friends...not enemies. Sincerely, sick and tired of being a "grown-up" all of the time |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I believe that this is a great outlet to release some frustrations and hopefully have empathic people reply. We as nurses are expected to put up with so much abuse--physicians, managers, supervisors, co workers, patients, family members. Where are we to go, if we can't go to fellow RNs? I know that I could certainly use a spot to vent some major frustrations!!! |

| Posted almost 5 years ago There has been a personal and direct attack on a member. It was deleted in a timely fashion and I'm happy for this. It was a horrid, rephrehensible post, which could have ruined an innocent persons career and life. Not only this, this person threatened family members through emails. However, once it was deleted someone went public with it. This is one of the reasons I think anonymous zone shouldn't exist dmazment |

I was all for the anonymous zone until I saw the sickening posts. It never dawned on me that anyone could do such a horrible thing. I have now changed my mind and thing that this anonymous should be discontinued. It is unfortunate because this zone could have been a good thing. cdnurse |

BITCHESLINK.COM Like someone said, it is a good site to get good information, and it is a excellent site, for new comers to see the ugly side of nursing, which is the hating, catfighting, and bitcheness. I have been working in the nursing field for almost 10 years. I want to tell all the new comers, watch out for all the jealous nurses who sabotoge you at work, because you look better than them, or because all the cute doctors are hitting on you. Girls, I've been there, and knew other girls who have suffered under a Director of nurses jealous rage!!! and if they don't like you and think you are a threat to some other male nurse that they like or doctor and any other cute STUD!!!! you are out the door, or you are going to have a hell of a day. FOR REAL!!! |

This was at!!!! can't tell you where, but it was mostly ICU nurses, and the doctors were residents who are technically MD's, but are not Attendings. The nurses where I work want's a doctor to take their sorrows away, which is slaving doing bedside nursing. The Residents and Interns know this, and trust me, they are CUTE, I wouldn't scratch, another female nurses eyes for them, but some have where I worked. I still can't tell, I am ANONYMOUS!!!!! |

That kind of posting more than justifies a need for Anonymous. Tomorrow someone may want advice about a medical problem, or the like. | Posted over 4 years ago I agree with some of the bitchiness- someone posted about the difference between RN and LPN- it was a question and some of the answers were- Get over it! regarding RNs being above LPNs no where in the question did it ask that or imply that. I have seen some others also- why? It is fine to state your opinion and let people know your side but you can do it without being mean. We are professionals lets act like it. |

I'm speaking from experience.........look for someone nobody else wants <make sure you get a financial resume on that guy too>, There is no fountain of youth..........but when retirement come peeking around the corner..............i want to be in the raisin ranch that will powder my butt and change my diaper more than once a day.
