What is with all of the cat fights and bitchiness we have had on here lately? What is wrong with an anonomys zone? What is wrong with someone speaking their opinion? Everyone has one and if it is different from yours that does not make it wrong. Bitchiness, stupidity, and prejudices are wrong.  

This site is a microcosm of the real world. In my heart of hearts, I go to work as a nurse because of my own simple-minded values. It is nice to get cards or whatever, but I don't look to nursing to validate my worth as a human being. One of the first nurses I met, while on a clinical rotation at a hospital, told me that when you close the door and it is just you and the patient, that's all that matters. It is discouraging to get to work and have to work with people who are nasty to you for no particular reason. I try to keep focused on what really matters, but I have quit jobs because the atmosphere was so negative. Wish I could play back a tape of everything I have been accused of. The gossip is certainly much more interesting than my real boring life. Am I gay, or have I slept with every nurse in the hospital? I have worked really hard to develop what skills I have, and I have been lucky to have great nurses to learn from along the way. I can only feel humble for the privelege of participating in patient care. But, some people see me as cocky or trying to show them up, no matter how hard I work to NOT come across that way. My true friends know.

All that to say that I have met some great people on this site, and I am not going to quit coming here because of a few negative people. My prayers are with those who are so miserable in their life that all they can see is unhappiness. I hope you find answers to your struggles.
