Posted almost 5 years ago I want to be a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse (NICU NURSE).. but i don't know what kind of a nurse i need to be to be a nicu nurse. I would like to know what kind of nurse i need to take first so i can try and get up to my future. also if there is any aditional information about me being a NICU nurse i would like to know all other information possible. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Generally speaking, you will have to be a Registered Nurse. At Shands Hospital at University of Florida, where I work, they want a BSN-prepared RN, and/or 1 year of clinical experience. ICU, Peds, or LDRP are all good areas to start.
