| Posted almost 5 years ago Yep, this is exactly what I plan to do. It is a new niche in the nursing world. Basically, it's an entry level nursing program for people who already have a bachelor's degree in any other field. Then they can go to nursing school and earn an MSN/CNL in an accelerated program. That way they don't have to go back to school to earn another bachelor's degree i.e. BSN. The student is then eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN when they graduate. I am in the middle of an accelerated B.A. program and then I plan to go to Univ. of MD to get my CNL. Then eventually I plan to go back to school to become a CRNA. Here is the link to their site: http://www.nursing.umaryland.edu/programs/ms/accel.htm Univ. of MD has both a 16 month and a 23 month option for the CNL program. I have a friend who is in the 16 month program now and she said that it is very intense. But all in all, she said she is loving every minute of it. |
