- Current WY RN license is required Just found these on the web site at the local hospital and found interesting. I get my ADN and they bump it up again. I can't believe this is needed for a medical unit. This is not the only posting stating BSN, but this one didn't make any sense for the BSW on top of the BSN. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I thought so but it is on several listings. Some of the postions had just the BSN required posted. Maybe somebody did the list that isn't aware of titles. The majority of the positons have BSN, only a few had the BSN perfered. Who knows, I just want to get started working in acute. I'm ready to leave the state to get going. I guess it'll happen when it happens. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago U never know it may be right. I know when I was researching different job titles for positions for example health educator, nutritionist, dietician and other job titles. Many of the jobs not only required a degree in the field but also they wanted you to have a RN license which I kind of didnt understand. It brings me back to one of my favorite sociology professors at my community college. He said that in the future a bachelor's degree is going to be just like a high school diploma. If you want to make a good salary, you are going to have to have a masters degree. I did a reseach paper on the topic and found that many fields require a masters degree for better paying positions and to even get into the field. If you have a bachelors degree you cant even take the state exam for some fields. For example at my son's school the occupational therapist was telling me that she was back in school because they require master's degree now. The research I did was in my home state california. I also found that some employers wanted bachelors degrees for secretarial work with low wages, I looked at the job duties, years ago you could get these jobs right out of highschool. |
