Posted almost 5 years ago How are you guys all finding our pay rate in CAlifornia? The numbers I have seen are pretty poor, I make $36/hr is that the norm in our state, I heard $28.00 that is low I think, what do you all think? A busy RN is here |

Posted almost 5 years ago As an LPN I made $25.50/hr, and with all the other it was $31. Coming from MT, I was making $12.75 so it was nice in CA. I think housing was the only difference in cost of living, for the most part. According to one of the articles on nurselink, MT is one of the lowest paying states. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time.

Posted almost 5 years ago Typically, because of the strength of CNA in Northern California, pay rates are much higher than Southern California. I know for a fact, brand new grads with no experience, start at between $36 - $40/hr in Northern California.

Posted almost 5 years ago I ended working full time a few years ago and made $56.50 a hour, at the time it was considered high more if I worked registry for l and D, but you are correct the cost of living here is terrible so I think it balances out between the states whatever it is now it is NOT enough for what we do and the responsibilty we have it is just NOT enough!

Posted almost 5 years ago We bought a house in January 2003 for $190,000 and sold it September 2005 for $300,000. We were just looking at poss going back to CA and checked out our old neighborhood. Our house and houses in the same area are less than the original $190,000. I've also read that the prices will continue to drop, so this may be the time to buy. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time.

Posted almost 5 years ago Wow...where I live in New York CNA's start around 11 an hour, LPN's around 15 an hour, and RN's about 22 an hour. And, it's pretty expensive where I live.

Posted almost 4 years ago Is there better pay for a BSN? I heard it's the same as an ADN.

Posted over 3 years ago It really depends on the facility... I know the VA only hires BSN, and their pay is pretty competative. Then UCSD pays the same. It just depends on the place. -Angela--'--,--{@
