From what I have come to find out through research is there is really no "best" when it comes to nursing school. It depends on what you want to do exactly...if you want to go and get you certificate as an LPN than you can usually attend a vocational school or a community college. If you want to go the step further and get your RN you can attend a state school or university (I believe some hospitals offer classes as well) and either enter into an Associate program or a Bachelors program.

I am in the same situation myself, trying to figure out which school would work best for me. I found two sites that have helped me out a lot:

1. www.Allnursingschools.com

2. www.univsource.com

Good luck.

Where are you from?

The good nursing schools are the magnet hospitals. Which are teaching hospitals. If you live in NYC The College of Staten Island has very good program. It's part the City University of New York system. Good luck.
