I guess I agree with many of the points made here I read them all, I am still kinda new here and was really havin fun esp with the game. I think they should have left everyone in the positions they were in and then from this point on the new system could give points in the new way, it seems to BE important to those who have been around a while and contributed many news items to this site to then be demoted. NO we are not going to get new TV's from this site, HELLO. that is NOT the point, rules should not be changed in a way that people get screwed on ANY level, if someone feels bad their feelings are REAL to them. It is clear the people who run this site do not really care about the feelings of the people (US NURSES) and well I guess it is the same as other things in life, you either choose to complain and try to make a change that betters everyone (like voting) or fold up your tent and go home. (like most spineless weazles) My understanding WAS that the points WERE supposed to mean something though. I enjoy the research and the articles but the forum has it's bennies also I guess, although silly sometimes it is a distraction and we all need THAT sometimes.

A busy RN is here

cdnurse- what in the world??  I never said you were the B word- I'm just tired of all the bickering and complaining on here. When I come here it's to relax and enjoy myself. Not listening to some bitching session. You have recognition here. I don't understand why you think you don't. You have been on here since the beginning. You have made valuable contributions and given valuable information to countless people on this site. I've always joked about you being the Big Cheese. But you are. You're the mothership of this site. Everyone looks up to you and values your opinion. One person has voiced that she will follow you wherever you go. You don't need points to show your value. We all love you here and respect you no matter how many points you have or don't have.  Let's just get rid of the damn point sytem all together. I really don't care about it anymore. I just thought if they're giving points for everything else, why not give it for the game questions too. I don't care how many points I have-really I don't. I just come on here because I enjoy it (or did!) Who would have thought that making this change would have caused so much turmoil and so many disgruntled people?

ps-because of all the turmoil lately, I find I don't enjoy this site so much anymore. It use to be a place of comfort - it's not anymore. I have enough stress at home. I don't need it here too!

cdnurse: What I wrote was not directed to you, it was general statements. Postings you have "authored" I appreciated. But I did say that some things on the site...........not mentioning who posted them, I have seen other places. I'm new to this site and haven't been on as long as some of you. I always gave respect to the site and respect to my elders. You always cheered me and rooted me on when I had an exam and I was nervous.  I so appreciated that and felt happy when you sent me comments.

I'm so sorry you are having the feelings you have been having. I just don't understand why you care about points. You are so well recognized on this site and people who are new to the site can tell you are a super poster and well respected on this site. What I said about the "green stamps" was a joke. It was from the Brady Bunch. I remember them saving up their green stamps to buy things. Girls wanted one thing, a sewing machine, and the boys wanted something else. They winded up with a TV for all to enjoy. That was the meaning of that statement and if it offended you, I'm sorry. I mentioned it because you can have 100 million points on here....what does it really get you?

I agree with Charlita. There is so much stress at home and work, who needs it here. I think you are hurt from the "higher" authorities on this site. Not someone like me, who's a little "pee on" if you will. LOL

I hope to see you around still from time to time. This is my last year. I still need your support till May 2009's graduation!!

I'm too young to really remember the green stamps. I just know about them from reruns of the Brady Bunch. Then I had my parents explain the whole concept. LOL

I respect your opion cd. I've looked forward to seeing what was posted.  I didn't even know there were points until all of a sudden I had two stars and wondered what was up with that. I had always come on her to compare my life as a nurse to others around the US, to learn, to grow, for stress relief when I couldn't take one more minute school. NurseLink is so much like a nursing unit, all the energy...good, bad and wasted.

Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time.
