Hi all. I'm hoping to get an answer to a question if you can give one.  I have noticed that a lot of pinning ceremonies are held at churches. Mine will be next year as well. Does anyone know the reason for this? I don't mind at all, but I was just wondering if there was a significance or a history behind it all. Thanks.

I can't really say. I have heard of pinnings being in churches, but never heard anyone say why. I think maybe it might just be b/c it's prettier than in an auditorium. Mine was in a dark dingy auditorium and it was not very pretty at all. We were all cramped up on the stage and I really wish it could have been different. We wanted to have it outside, but the dean wouldn't let us have it outside.

Maybe someone else has some insight.

Thanks for the reply StarlightRN! Sorry you had to be in the dark dreary auditorium.  I'm really looking forward to the ceremony. This church is amazing. Maybe I'll post the link so everyone can see a picture.

It did work and that is absolutely beautiful. I am green with envy. I would have loved to of had my pinning there. You are so lucky to be able to have it in such a beautiful setting.

Thanks! I love it too! Right now there are 40 seniors that are expected to graduate in May 2009.  I can't wait!
