Good job, keep up the good work. You must have a great teacher. Since I am in A&P now, chemistry looks like a piece of cake. LOL! |

| Posted over 4 years ago Lizbabt75tn: How did you teach yourself? Any special method. My chemistry professor basically reads off the powerpoint and then says this isn't important and neither is this, and then he puts it on the test!!! He is also constantly comparing the nursing chem class to the enginerering chem class, and talkin about how stupid American students are. With his curve I went from a "D" to an "B" but the final test is coming up and I would love to bring this grade up..
any of your pointers would be greatly appreciated! |

Well, what I did was do some research on the internet. I mainly used youtube, but be careful some of the videos are students trying to explain chemistry and it's incorrect. I picked the ones that looked like they were from instructors. I mainly had problems with the math and youtube was great for help in that area (I also use it for my algebra classes). I used some university websites, but I can't think of which ones I used now. You can use google to find them. And I also utilized a tutor that the school provided for us. All of us in class helped each other out because one person may understand parts that we don't get. My teacher realized he was teaching over our heads and he threw a test out, I think most of the students didn't do so well in the class. Only a handful of us did ok. He wasn't the regular teacher and it was his first time teaching this class at this school. He has a PHD in it and thought we were morons that we couldn't get it. |
