for all those OR junkies did you see where Dr. DeBakey died at the ripe ole age of 99. hard to beleive he invented the tools we use today and was still alive.  he performed his last surgery at 90 yoa. amazing.

I did not see this. Dmazment where did you post it, in the forums or the news. I went and looked at news articles but didn't see it. Maybe I didn't go back far enough. Sometimes it doesn't take long for them to get buried when there are dozens of article posted at one time.

Being new to the OR, I have heard DeBakey. All these instruments and their names are going to be one of my biggest challenges. Any tips on learning and remembering them? Some are so similar too. With teeth without teeth, Straight and curved, the list is endless.
