What to prepare for Nursing School

Posted almost 5 years ago Hi, I'm entering a Nursing Program this coming fall.. I was just wondering what should I study/prepare for the nurisng program before I enroll. I'd apppreciate it if you as a current nursing student give me an advice.. Thank You! :) |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Hello and welcome to nursing link. I really didn't study anything as I entered nursing school. My school did require you to take an entrance test along with a large math test. I hate math but I did well. We also had to take an IQ exam. Have you taken pre req's yet? All I can say to you is study as much as you can and take as many notes as you can. Put things into your own words. Often that helps. I'm graduating next year and can't wait. Once you start nursing school it's fun because you get to do some hands on when doing clinicals. It's very enjoyable. Let me know how things are going for you. What school are you attending? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I am about to enter school as well and was also wondering If I should brush up on some medical terminology. I have been reading some of the require reading just to try and get a head start. MICHELE

| Posted almost 5 years ago If you aren't good in math/algebra I would suggest to brush up on that. Some comes CALCULATIONS and DOSAGES. That can be difficult if you are poor with your math skills.
