Posted almost 5 years ago Hi, I am one of the members on here who sort of sits back and listens. I do not post often but I do enjoy this site immensely. I just could not help but notice the entire ruckus about the points. In particular, the ones who have the gall to say that the points do not matter to them and speak of “bitchiness.” Then, turn around and make a very bitchy remark like “Elvis has left the building.” Yeah, and she is number one. Good for her. She has some nerve. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Points don't matter to me, and if that gives me some "gall" then good. I'm proud to have it. Yes, we do miss our friend and can only hope that she can forgive the childishness of others and come back. Although I don't blame her if she doesn't. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Sorry, when I was speaking of the gall about saying the points do not matter, I was making reference to those who it really does matter and pretend they are so hoity toity about it all. She knows who she is. What I am saying is they are saying one thing and clearly it is not so. There are many on here who could care less about the pints, me included. But, this one is saying she does not care and is obviously not so. And, she complained about bitchiness, then made that very bitchy “Elvis has left the building” remark. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago It is like working on a unit and you bust your butt and someone else sits and talks on the phone, reads books, plays computer games like free cell and she/he makes more money. You would give a hoot then wouldn’t you? Same thing. |

I kno what you mean, its like you bust your hump while others (who shall remain nameless) get all the glory. Points seem to be a very big deal on here. I can also see what she means by valuable articles and such, its hardwork to find articles and post them. its easier to think of games and such. Sorry but let it be know we know you are more than proud of your points you got. its good being on top!! |

| Posted almost 5 years ago What did I miss? What two are fighting? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Not really fighting....disagreeing. Someone left and felt hurt over the changes on this site. This is all I know. I thought this site was to make friends and to post great info for all to see. I didn't know that the point system was so important. Guess I missed the whole deal. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Start thinking scores, not points, and what they meant to the lady who left, not yourself. This woman turned this site and helping others on it into a project. She put her heart and back into the work. Her efforts were something anyone could be proud of. The new point system almost arbitrarily lowered her uppermost position on the site. Overnight, literally, she awoke to find that her contributions and status had fallen. Try to acknowledge that the issue is not about you and what you believe. Imagine that overnight, something undermined the status you had achieved at your job or with your family or your friends, and then outsiders began weighing in saying how the status you had earned meant little or nothing to them.

I totally don't get it. It didn't appear to me that the comment was meant to be bitchy. The smiley-faced icon dude was crying. Am I naive or is this "bitchy comment" misunderstood? POINTS: I thought they were fun -a mini goal- without going on and just posting, posting, posting in order to get more points. But, I really did want to make it to the point where I got to "try" out new things. Quote: "Members with a high reputation score get special status. They get asked to moderate the forums, receive free products for review, and more." I totally wanted to receive some things to try. I thought it would be cool. So, with the new point system that goal is totally out the window. It'll never happen -unless I just start posting, posting, posting about every little thing...Bummed out about points, but they're not everything. I love the person who posted just minutes ago. That is such a great, thoughtful post. CD was someone who I really looked up to here. It's sad to see that she worked so hard to enlighten and share, and those fruits-of-her-constant laboring were thrown back in her face -so to speak. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Ok, so basically, the points mean a great deal to some...and not so much to the rest. I think that sums it up. So...can we move on? RNdude |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Im new to this community. Are the points a new thing? I look at some of the leaders and the amounts acrued, but I don't think I'll ever have that many I just don't have the time. |

RNdude Here's an idea: let the good people discuss what they please. Don't like the comments? Don't read them. Weighing in with your usual show of contempt, RNdude? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I don't understand the rudeness, the backbiting, the nastiness that is being displayed in the last few months. I also don't understand, people who react to rather act on a topic. They don't seem to read the entire post, but respond and nitpick. wish it would stop |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Oh look, more rudeness and contempt! RNdude has as much right as anyone to post opinions and does not deserve to be spoken to in the manner someone has. He and I have had words, gotten to the point, resolved them and moved on. I guess only "good people" should post in nursinglink, according to someone's ignorant comment. dmazment |
