Posted almost 5 years ago I have started my education to become an RN. It is something that I really enjoy doing, helping out others. I have a problem, I have a misdemenor on my criminal record...Is there anyone right now who is working in the nurse field and was in the same situation as me?? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Yes, that does sound true.If it was exponged , then it makes you not guilty. The state board would know if it was going to effect your licensure.Have you already been accepted into a nursing program??? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago You should not have any issues getting a job at the age of 25 for something you did 6 years ago. If the State you reside in allows you to take the NCLEX. Then if you pass they will issue you a license. It would be illegal for them to let you pay and take the exam and not issue you a license if you pass. So no woories there. As far as finding a job. Most facilities do a backround check with you. Just be honest when it comes to your application. If they want to know if you were ever convicted of a felony. Just say yes. And let them give you an oppurtunity to explain your actions. It's unfortunate to even say this but I must add it anyway. With the way the nursing shortage is going. You will not have a problem getting a job if you felony was a charge for murder....Just kidding but you see the sarcasm here. We are drowning.....Just get in there, study, work your ass off and stay dedicated and the rest will take care of itself. |
