Posted almost 5 years ago I have started my education to become an RN. It is something that I really enjoy doing, helping out others. I have a problem, I have a misdemenor on my criminal record...My main concern is that will it be hard for me to get a job in california after I get my license?? I am 25 right now, I was charged with theft at age 19 and recently I got my case to be expunged(not guilty, dismissed) I talked to the state board and they said that it shouldn't affect me to get my license after school, Is that true?? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Interesting post, but I don't have a clue about having a record and then trying to obtain a nursing license. Hope you find the answers you are looking for. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago No you won't have a problem. Expunged is erased, no record. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I don't think that you will have a problem.I had a friend that went back to school and he had a record from back when he was young and it had been so long that he didn't have a problem. |
