I have started my education to become an RN.  It is something that I really enjoy doing, helping out others. I have a problem, I have a misdemenor on my criminal record...My main concern is that will it be hard for me to get a job in california after I get my license??

I am 25 right now, I was charged with theft at age 19 and recently I got my case to be expunged(not guilty, dismissed)  I talked to the state board and they said that it shouldn't affect me to get my license after school, Is that true??

Please any advise or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Interesting post, but I don't have a clue about having a record and then trying to obtain a nursing license. Hope you find the answers you are looking for.

No you won't have a problem.  Expunged is erased, no record.

Depends on the state and whatever the board says goes!!! it wouldn't fly here but may fly there! Good Luck!!

I don't think that you will have a problem.I had a friend that went back to school and he  had a record from back when he was young and it had been so long that he didn't have a problem.
