Posted almost 5 years ago hey everyone. I'm a new LPN graduate who is looking for a job- go figure. I've been hearing for many that the best thing to do is to get a year or two of med-surg under my belt while I complete my RN. Is this true?? I'd love to work trauma, but am willing to put in the time elsewhere to get the needed experience. Any advice? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago The best thing to do it get a job at a teaching hospital, the experience you'll get there is beyond measure. Med-Surg is a great place to start, but specialty floors/units will also accept new grades and you'll get plenty of experiience. I wouldn't wait too long before going on the RN, go while LPN schooling is still fresh in your mind. |
