I just started as an LPN student. We started early - like a month ago.

Anyway, we got this assignment to complete a concept map based on lab values...I think I know all of the electrolyte imbalances, but am having trouble speculating what could be happening and why.

The patient has renal failure - does anyone have any experiences with this? I would rather learn for myself, but I have the actual values if that helps.

You can also get a lab values book that explains what the values mean, what tests are used... We use the one by Mosby, but there are quite a few out there.

If you are still having trouble, post the values, we can help you out more that way.
