Anyone out there ave any good suggestions for quiting smoking.  Tried patches and gum, not working.  Insurance wont pay for the meds that are suppose to help.  Quit for 3 years and then lite up again, trying to quit again.  Last time I quit, I just quit.  This time I think I have done everything but a Mexican Hat dance and if I thought it would work, I might be willing to try it.  And don't act like I am the only nurse on this site that still smokes please.

I'm not a smoker and never was so I can't give you any pointers on how to stop. I'm sure, as with any other addiction, it's very hard and stressful. Take one day at a time and before you know it you'll be SMOKE FREE!  Good luck.
