Posted almost 5 years ago A majority of US health department directors have come out to say that climate change will seriously (and negatively) affect public health over the next 20 years. Do you agree with them? If so, what elements of public health do you think will be adversely affected? If not, why not? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I think climate change will definitely effect public health. Just one of the many factors will be seniors and under-served citizens. Air conditioning during the summer months is already a big concern for these groups, imagine what will happen when Summer lasts 1/2 of the year or more. Then you have citizens with pulmonary problems like asthma, COPD, emphysema, etc. Think of the impact hotter, drier weather will have in them. It's not a pretty picture at all. |
