| Posted almost 5 years ago I one time read in a nursing journal that one interviewer liked to ask the prospective employee the following question: What would you do if you were making Thanksgiving dinner for all your extended relatives (in-laws included) and an hour before they are all supposed to show up you realize that the turkey flopped? It is totally inedible, you can't do anything to salvage it. What would you do in this situation? The interviewer explained that even though this question is from far left field, it gave her an idea of the interviewee's problem solving and critical thinking skills. If the interviewee just shrugged their shoulders and said "I don't know what I would do" then the person did not get the job. I thought that this was absolutely brilliant!

I have my nursing interview in two weeks (to start in September), and was wondering if anyone knew any good interview questions. There are some I expect (why I want to be a nurse, what are my strengths/weaknesses, etc.), but are there any crazy ones that you all received in your interviews? Will they probably ask law-related questions, or morals/ethics possibly? I am REALLY nervous, so any help would be much appreciated. Thank you and I look forward to interacting with all of you awesome people!
