Posted almost 5 years ago Out of all the occupations we could have chosen, we chose nursing. How do you think nurses/nursing differs from other professions. What makes nurses/nursing special? I feel nursing is so ever changing, nurses are very educated, caring and multi taskers. We feel accomplishemnt and satisfaction in helping/taking care and educating our pt's.We are involved in lives and at time that no others can.Good times and in bad times.Nurses/nursing is like a haven.I truly feel nursing is a calling from God(even if some may go into it for the wrong reasons)I am proud to be a nurse |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I'm not a nurse (RN) yet.........graduation is 2009! I agree that "nursing" is a calling. No everyone can do it and it truly does take a special kind of person to become one. God bless all us nurses! |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I believe that nursing is special because next to doctors, nurses are the next most trusted health practitioner that people rely on for comfort and good care. Nurses can touch lives like no one else. It is a priviledge. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Nurses are different because they do so much more than just care. They have to be able to assess the situation and act accordingly whether it be with the patient's family or the patient themselves. It takes a special person to be able to handle the stresses and demands of nursing. To the ones that make it over the next year (hopefully myself included), hang in there! |
