Posted almost 5 years ago Greetings Fellow nurses here in Michigan! I am a new Michigan resident however not a new nurse. I am waiting for my MI lisencure at this time and looking to expand my nursing experience. I am a diploma RN from Ohio with 7 years experience in CCU/Telemetry. I have however not worked in nursing in the last 5 years. At this point I am looking to work away from the bedside and possibly get in with a Pharmecuetical Company or Interavenous Therapy Company, even patient education. Currently I am a student at Clayton College of Natural Health for a BS in either Natural Health or Natural Nutrition. I would love to hear from others here and make new friends. My nickname is Grace because I am anything but graceful lol. So give me a hollar. Warmly Lisa, RN or Grace if you wish |

| Posted over 4 years ago Hello Everyone, I'm new to this website. I live in Michigan, Sterling Heights (Macomb County). I will be starting the LPN program at Oakland Community College in Southfield, Michigan on Jan 13th 2009. Our first class is pharmacology, it lasts 7 weeks and meets on Tuesday's for 4 hours. Starting 1st week of March will be Foundations of Nursing and our introduction to Clinicals. This course lasts 15 weeks till June 29th 2009. I'm excited about starting. I know it's going to be tough going, but also fun in learning and progressing thru the program. Carol

| Posted almost 3 years ago Hello everyone!! =) I'm also from MI, born and raised. I know I'm late to this forum, but I am also going to be a nurse. I will be doing an accelerated BSN program at Ferris State, although I am from the Flint area. I already have one bachelors, but it was only to speed up the process to get into nursing school. I went 2.5 years at MSU, then switched to nursing and transfered to FSU to complete my first degree. I will have been out of school 1.5 years when I hopefully get into the program for May 2011. I'm 99.9 % sure I will get in!! It is an accelerated 12 month program. It will be an intense year...the program consists of 71 credits!! I am really looking forward to it though.. Good luck to everyone who is still in school...and those who are already practicing! Hope to hear from you all soon! |
