A new study was published that says that women in Japan have the average life expectancy of 86 years old (men with 79.2). What do you think their secret it? Better healthcare? Better eating habits?

I feel in addition to genetics, it also has  to do with their healthier diet.Japan is very highly educated and forerunners in many areas.

I agree with Pezzy....Japan is more advanced with technologies and other areas.  I think diet is a main factor, Americans have become use to the extra value size....when portions aren't suppose to be that big.   We lack exercise and self control....some not all.  Asian food is very veggie friendly....I hope to live that long if not longer!!!

I know lots of Americans who live into their 80's....I don't think we live that much shorter of lives here in America.
