I am entering the RN nursing program in about 3 weeks I need some books that will help me memorize etc...  I looked up some books on amazon and read the reviews which were very helpful but would like recommendation from students. A friend of mine has mosby's memory notecards and she likes them but there are a whole lot more out there.  Can anyone recommend a book that helped them through the program?   I am so nervous I'm not sure I can remember everything.

To be honest I would go ahead and get a NCLEX-RN book.  You will have to get use to answering these types of questions especially at the end of your program.  Plus it will help you to retain the subject material and think like a nurse.

The Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN Examination by Linda Anne Silvestri is a great book, not only for studying for the boards but as a study guide while still in school. I would highly recommend it.

I agree with the crowd....the Saunders NCLEX RN prep book is an excellent resource; it divides questions by subject area, so if you are studying psych, then you can focus on the psych questions, or maternity or whatever your topic is.  I found this book to be quite helpful because it is one of those that gives you the rationales for the answers:)  Good luck!

I got the Saunders book a couple months before I graduated. I wish I had bought it long ago- it could be used for additional info, along with recommended nursing textbooks while in a nursing program.
