Posted almost 5 years ago Travel Nurses, Ever been to an unsafe facity, a facility you just know is going to cost you a bad r3eputation due to management or patient care. I take pride in my skills, advocacy and ability to work well with staff. But there are facilities out thwere you just want to avoid for safety reasons and inability to practice your skills as allowed by boards. Most are power games, and then their is the lack of management support for the staff itself. No type of recognition for these hard working nurses on staff, over worked nurse due to short staff. So, travelers where have we been that need to be really considered before accepting a contrract? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Granted many hospitals may have issue, but be warned. Memorial hospital Los Banos is a scary place. Continuos nurses walking out without notice, busy staff with no managent support. This facility is in need of JCAHO closure. Patient are DEFINATELY place in danger there due to limited skills of non er doctors. Administration is lacking to skills to maintain a safe enviroment. Diploma RN ER managers without er advanced ER experience. Associates degree DON that is nothing more than a puppet. If you would like a laugh and don't feear losing your license go for it.... I was i was there as a group of 4 travels quit the same day!!!!! Did management assist the staff? YOU GUESS! I know my agency is hot because of this situation I have left my agency and now have no faith in them at all. Not only is the hospital losong traveler, their agencies are losing good nurses because of the experience. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Yes, this is a very valid reason for the anonymous zone. I have said this all along. However, there were some very harmful posts made under this area that could ruin it for so many. cdnurse.
