I have this friend (seriously guys) who using SKIN bleaching creme to make her freckles dissapear. Her face is getting lighter and lighter everytime i see her. My question is: Is using bleaching creme safe? does it cause cancer or anything?

Are you talking about the creme you would use to bleach like facial hair?

No...I have never heard of bleaching creme for your face....wow I don't know how safe that would be.  I think that just like with tanning (which I do....but in moderation) I guess if it is not overly done it should be ok.  I think everything has a risk to it.

Michael Jackson used bleaching for his skin, so he would look more white....very BAD....DON'T do it!

Skin bleaching sound dangerous to me.


I have used the jolene bleach for facial hair lightening.


Leave the freckels.....................why burn a hole in your skin! (God forbid)

yes bleaching creams can in fact become dangerous especially with long term use.  Skin bleaching creams contains agents such as hydroquinone which produces high levels of mercury in individuals.  This is carcinogenic and can lead to cancer and abnormal functioning of the adrenal glands.  I used these creams for years because of the dark marks eczema gave me and one day whenI stopped, I had bad withdrawal reactions.  I never looked back again and ha to go througha  thorough body cleanse.


Do not use this carcinogenic agent! There are othe natural ways to lighten skin like utilizing vitamin C creams, lemon juice, and L-glutiathone with 1000 miligrams of vitamin c  a day.

I think long term use of getting "waxed" can be dangerous. They are pulling off some skin!
