Posted almost 5 years ago Okay- no offense to your friend, but that's scary! Only RN's with BSNs can be school nurses in our area!

Posted almost 5 years ago Sorry, but it someoen is not licensed as a nurse, they can not legally work as a nurse and cannot call themself nurse. Shan, in some states LPNs work in the school and an Rn is over severl LPNs and travels from school to school. Sadly, most schools do not have nurses.

Posted almost 5 years ago cd- I really wish our area would at the very least allow ADNs to be school nurses, so that's great the LPNs are able to become school nurses. Most of our schools have to "share" one school nurse. Nurses will have 3 or 4 schools that they have to rotate through.
