Hello and good evening.   I just wanted to share a bit of news with anyone interested in reading.  Tuesday night I went to my local college and signed up for classes.  I'm going back to become a RN.  Part of me is nervous and thinking what am I doing? and part of  me is excited at this new adventure in my life ( and believe me I have alot of adventure.  )  As nervous as I am feeling, I am proud that I have alot of support from my husband (calls me his pride and joy) the residents at the office I work in, most of my co-workers and the Nurse Practitioner who I love working with and hope I can be as good as she is.  Just wanted to share, and since I have 2 weeks before classes start, I am going to practice my algebra since its part of my pre requs that I am doing.

Wish me luck!!

Yes you willhave many emotions about getting started on this route. Just do not give up. It is tough but well worth it.

I agree with cdnurse. You will have many ups and downs, highs and lows, and at times you may feel like it's never going to end. But when it's all over you you hold that degree in you hand and hold the title of RN you will look back and wonder where all the time went. But it is all very well worth it. Just stick with it no matter how hard it is, even if you think you can't go on. We on nursinglink are here for you as well as many of your classmates will be.

Best of Luck to you!!!!
