I have been thinking about participating in the LPN to RN Excelsior online program.  Has anyone on here done it?  I know of a couple people who have done it but are still doing the duties of LPN at the LTC facility where I work.  I really would like to become an RN but I cant get a high enough score on the ACT to do the real program at school. I think that is the dumbest test ever. Anyway, I know in my heart I want more than just LPN. I am a little nervous because i know it is more responsibility.  I feel that I could do it. I really love helping others. I would like to work in the ER or OB.  Need advice. ..................

I finished my 2nd yr of nursing thru Regents , which is now Excelsior. This was in 1990.I found it to be perfect for my needs.I do knnow, at the time some states did not consider it an accredited nursing school , and i think the same may be now.It is perfect for those who are motivated, intelligent, self starters and have a background in nursing. So i  think this is a great way to go to school.I am going to  get my BSN online, not thru Excelsior, but someplace locally, due to the fact of where i live.Good luck!!
