Posted almost 5 years ago There has been alot of media and talk about nursing unions.I would like to get others opinions and ideas reagrding this.Do you think it is good or bad? What can it help achieve for nursing and pt care?Have you been in or are you inĀ a union ?I tool a traveling position to Santa Fe New Mexico a few years ago, and the hospital had a union.Upon questioning the full time staff, it did not seem to really make any improvements or changes. So i would like to get more info on it from you guys.Thanks. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Some unions are far stronger than others. Look at NY and CA for great examples of what a strong union can do for nurses. Here, in NV, nurses are in a union that has no idea what nurses need. It is not a nurses union. The union here is for service employess. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I have been receiving information on the California Nurses Assoc, and it does seem really strong. But i am not sure if it has anything to do with this area in the long run.I ams ure it would eventually, and positive changes made elsewhere would trickle over here some time. |
