If there crime is serious enough to warrent them in jail, then i say they should have the same access to health care as any other  inmate. If they have a chronic condition that requuires meds, treatments etc, then that needs to be addressed.I do not feel it would be in the best imterest of the country to pay for an illegal aliens healthcare.I do not really know how the prison health care system works. Do they have to pay back the state or country for the charges or services?I do not feel that it is fair that any of them get free medical care.

The right to care? Yes, everyone has the right to care. The right to sue? No. They are illegal immigrants. Hell no.

They were not suppose to be here anyway so NO they have no rights to sue, but should be seen about until we ship them back

Hello!

I do not know the whole story but for me regardless of his status any human should be treated as a human. I know we as immigrants have violated the law but we still have rights and responsibilities. I do not believe he should sue anybody but I am pretty sure that was not his idea but his lawyer's idea. United States idea that you can sue almost everybody for almost everything and the law that permits that.  Lawyers are the instigators of that.
You all have a great country with a great constitution. I am a citizen now but I still consider myself an immigrant. Believe I have contributed to this country and I am proud for being part of this country. Try to look outside the box and try to put yourself in their situation. This person violated the law twice and should be punish for it. No he should not sue anybody.

I also believe that they  have the right to care.  We have to treat everyone equally

Please take the time to read the entire article- it does raise valid questions regarding the issue of care.

And thank you to "newconfianza" for sharing your story with us.

The point of this article is they did not receive care, were denied care, or had way below par care.  Absolutely they have the right to sue. ICE screwed up big time and need to be held accountable.
