Hi,my name is Susan Gehler and I would like to know if anyone knows how to keep their certifications.I am a state tested nurse aid and I'm thinking of going into nursing but until my son gets a little older I'm kind of limited on what I can do,but I don't want to loose my certification.
My question is are there any clinical hours I can do or any place I can go to help me? If anyone can help I would greatly appreicate it.
thank you

Your an cna, right? Well i used to be one and you will have to keep taking the test every 2 years or something like that. If you let it go past your 2 years you will have to take the class all over again.

I am currently a CNA and I know that if you currently have your certificate as long as you pay your renewal fee your license is still good. You should call your state board to actually find out how it works. Good luck

Susan,

Not sure about laws in OH, but in Illinois all you have to do is work 80 hours 'for pay' to keep your CNA status. You may want to check with OH's Department of Public Health.
