| Posted almost 5 years ago When I took the NCLEX 3 years ago, they had something at the computer that you could use to figure math problems. I really can't remember exactly what it was, b/c I did not have any math problems. I couldn't believe it. That's what I wanted, but no..... I didn't get any. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Back in the old paper and pencil days, we could bring NOTHING in with us. We had to do all the math on scratch paper. TWO 8 hour days of hell. Boy do I wish we had computers back then! Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that stood it's ground.

| Posted almost 5 years ago StarlightRN...you had no math problems? How is that possible?? I thought there was a designated section for math?? That would be amazing...because I absolutely hate math, and math hates me. But I have a feeling I wouldn't be so lucky. |

| Posted almost 5 years ago Lisa - I totally agree with you!!! I'm scared to death of math -- I hate it and it hates me too!! LOL!!!! My neighbor, who's a RN, said she thinks we'll be able to use calculators now --- let's pray!!!! B/T/W -- are you like me in that you're really good in science but not math???

| Posted almost 5 years ago Wannabenurse...that is totally the case! Science and English were my top classes in school, and still are. Math and Social studies were my worst enemies and still are LOL.
Glad I am not the only one. Are you taking nursing classes now?? |

| Posted almost 5 years ago I just took my exam in July. I believe there was a calculator on the computer screen to use. They also gave me marker and a reusable plastic sheet for calculations (you didn't get to keep the sheet after the exam). You can't bring anything in the exam room such as a watch, necklace, cell phone, calculator, pocketbook, notebook, pens/pencils, sweater/jacket. There were lockers to put all your stuff in. The only thing I took into the exam room was the key to the locker and my driver's license. |
