When i graduated nursing school in 1990, the NCLEX was offered 2 times per yr.We had to go to  certain testing areas(i had to drive about 3 hours).There were many reviwew courses one would take to help refresh and study before the exam..I took a review course in Elgin ILL.Now , the turn around time for testing is so quick and you get your results so fast( we had to wait for snail mail 6- 8 weeks)At first, i couldnt understand why so many poeple were asking about  reviews and nobody asked about classes, but it dawned on me,even review calsses arent really neccessary for those who just graduated..I worked as  G.N. for 6 months (in the RN role) before i took my boards then had to wait another 2 months to get my results.Technology sure has helped speed up the process!!!
