Knowing what you know now - would all of you still choose to go into nursing? What are the main reasons you got into it in the first place, and do you feel satisfied now?

I always wanted to be a nurse. My mom went to nursing school but did not finish and always regretted. So it was implanted in my mind at an early age. I am the oldest child-responsible for my younger siblings and a nuturer at heart. I was a candy stripper first-then a cna-then an LPN. I've worked in alot of different jobs in nursing and loved them all for one reason or another. I wouldn't want to be anything else. I would not want to go back to school to get my RN at this point in my life. I've been a nurse for 27 ys. I do regret that I did not go on to become a RN while I was in practical nursing school. I don't think there is any more rewarding career than nursing.
