LPN/LVN online for novices

Posted over 4 years ago Hello! I have been wanting to become a nurse for as long as I can remember. Does anyone know if there are any LPN/LVN online schools for someone who has no nursing, emt, paramedic, etc. background? I have to work full time and would be thrilled if I could earn my certificate or possibly ADN degree online. Thank you so much.

Posted over 4 years ago As far as I know you cannot do an LPN online. There are some RN programs, but you have to have your LPN or the like prior to starting. You might be able to do some classes online, but you would need to be available for clinical and other lab stuff.

Posted over 4 years ago Like Shan, as far as I know there are no programs for either without having the initial background. There are only online programs for LPN to RN.

Posted over 4 years ago Hi, I was looking for an online program also for a lpn program. Chamberlain School of Nursing has on online program. I believe it has a lpn program but I know it has an online rn program and based on where you are in the country, you can take your clinicals at a site but do your coursework online. Just passing on some info. Hope it can help you.
