What a disrespectful thing to say about your brother and the troops "Brainwashed".  Half this country is brainwashed by the liberal media.  The troops, an all volunteer military service are serving this country and laying their life on the line.  They know what is going on, because a lot of them have actually been there.  Your brother's service to his country is what gives you the right to sit on your chair and spout that he is brainwashed.  But, having said that, your brother knows if Obama gets in, that we are putting this country at GRAVE risk.  Hell, even Joe Biden, an expert on international affairs agrees with that.

I have nearly raised my brother myself......I have spent hours upon hours listening and talking with him to offer support and guidance regarding the awful things he has endured and been disappointed by over there.  I have spent thousands upon thousands of dollars sending care packages to him and his fellow marines.  As he has continued with his military career, he has been enlightened thank you very much!

I think McCains pick for VP may have been a little of both.  I think by choosing Palin he has swayed some of those who were Hillary supporters & hey she (Palin) can't be all bad since she like McCain is 1) in favor of drilling, 2) a pistol packing momma, 3) supports our troops, 4) believes in hard work, 5) is seemingly a devoted mom (ok maybe McCain isnt a devoted mom).    Considering how Obama doesn't even respect our country enough to show respect by covering his heart & facing the flag, I have tremendous doubt that he will respect anything else about our country...MY COUNTRY!   Though I may not be in agreement with all of the McCain-Palin plan, I am certain that they will get my vote.  McCain-Palin all the way!!!!

 I must chime in  here for a minute- this site is for all of us to participate in and at times discussions get heated, we should all remember that one day soon this election will be over and we are ALL be stuck with one or the other candidate. In the end we are all either professionals or in school to become one, we should act accordingly and remember that we have freedom of speech BECAUSE of our families and friends in the Military fighting for our right to say the mean and nasty things that are said to others in this very site. Well said. "Freedom isn't free" and if we don't or are unable to serve for one reason or another, I feel that we owe it to the people who DO to have civil discussions on these boards. I have been an RN 30 years now, teamrn is also a current RN, so I am not sure who you were addressing, maybe you could make a reference to who you are addressing because it sounds like you were thinking of someone inparticular, if it was a general statement, then I still do not get it sorry. PS I agree with your post just not sure who it was too. 

 cd, I do not think she really needs another mother or protector, but I do not think ANYONE was trying to run her off, we have MANY bright nurses and nursing students on this site, it is NOT clear when you register and many place service saying they are RN BSN when they are still in school, it is misleading and does seem to be an annoyance to some, you MUST still remember the BIG deal you made about the points and how they annoyed YOU! You did NOT hold back on your dozens and dozens of comments about the points, here we have another minor annoyance that was brought up by another member and her words about this is JUST as important as your concerns were to you. My comment was an attempt to clarify and answer a concern by another, not to start a fight with you.

 mg101, I do not think anyone or at least I did not accuse you of misrepresenting anything, the point was made it is confusing for many when they register and misleading, you spent a lot of time hear going on about nothing, nobody is attacking you, but you certainly can get yourself into a tizzy very quickly. People are free to discuss anything they want to on this site and YOU do not decide by your proclamation that ANY discussion is or is not over, that is up to any one of our members to decide if they care to comment or not, you need to calm down. As a moderator on this site I spend hours reading posts and gathering comments of others to try and improve our site here, the profile issue has been brought up many times before. EVERYONES comments are important on this site. It is not your job to accuse anyone of being petty, everyone has a right to there feelings and to express there feelings. You need to leave your bully hat at the door.
