There are a few sites you can look at, these are the ones I use: www.textbooks.com www.amazon.com www.ebay.com www.half.com If you don't mind used books, that would be the cheapest route to go on the above sites. Hope this helps. YOu can also just put textbooks in the search engine and see what you get. Proud Army Wife to Ian, Proud Mommy to Caleb!! |

| Posted over 4 years ago I bought most of my books at barnesandnoble.com. I joined their membership and that save money and then bought used at that when I could. Please don't pay any attention to my misspelled words or typos. Sorry I'll try harder next time. |

It is ridiculous the amount of money schools want for new books. it is almost as expesives as the dang class A good man loves other. A better man loves God. A great man loves God and lives well among others! I miss you daddy!

| Posted over 4 years ago I just bought textbooks for my daughter online, and we saved $359 on what would have been over $850 in the college bookstore. We used helpineedbooks.com and it searches all the other sites and finds you the best deal. The read reason I am writing is to warn you NOT to buy books from abebooks.com. They are based in India. They originally said the book would be here in 3-5 days. After I bought the book, they emailed me and asked for another $10 for extra postage. The book (originally $125 new) was listed as $35 for the book, plus $27 for postage, which was still the cheapest one I could fine. 5 weeks later, I still don't have the book, we had to pay full price in the college bookstore, and they've charged my credit card so I am arguing with them and the credit card company to try to get a refund. The sellers we used and had great luck with were: Alibris, Amazon, Valore, textbooksRus, half.com, and A1books. Good luck!! |

| Posted over 4 years ago Please read the article on the Wiki-How site, "How to Find Cheap College Textbooks." at http://www.wikihow.com/Buy-Cheap-College-Textbooks. Also, look up the following sites: www.CheapestTextbooks.com www.campusbooks.com www.affordabook.com www.bookbyte.com www.cheapcollege.com Also, you would have to decide if is feasible for your particular classes, but my son found an international copy of a textbook almost for pennies, compared to the regular textbook price. He said he compared his copy to the one at the bookstore, and it was pretty much identical. International book copies are available also here and there on the internet. They will be identified as such, so that you will know upfront. He said he found his international copy on textbooks.com. With the cost of prices, certainly this is something to look into! |

| Posted over 4 years ago I see everyone has listed some of the most popular websites. I think a lot of those sites are good. I found a website called skoolboy.com where you can list textbooks for Free. Its a pretty new site and they sell textbooks for undergraduate and graduate classes. I recommend that you check out this site too. |

| Posted over 4 years ago When available I purchase older edition books and used textbooks and have saved a reasonable amount of money. While I have successfully used a few of the sites listed here I would like to add one of my favorites http://www.WholesaleCollegeTextbooks.com . The site caries a number of US Edition and International Edition college textbooks that are priced well below discounted books on other sites. The trick with International Edition College Textbooks is that although they have the same content as US books they are typically printed on paperback and often in black and white print in order to save the cost of manufacturing. If you are lucky and they carry your textbooks it will save lots of money but make sure you have ample time because it can take up to 2 weeks to get delivery.
