Hi, my name is Drew. I am living in Eastern WA and am seriously considering a BSN. I allready have a BA and would be intrested in an accelerated program, but my options are somewhat limited. Any suggestions on accelerated programs? Should I opt. for a full 4 yr degree? Thanks. -Drew

Andrew you need to do some research and find out what courses from your BA will transfer and be utilitized for your ADN or BSN then make the choice from there.  Your BA degree will get you absolutely no where in nursing, unless it's in business, but they still prefer an RN with a BSN for beginning management.

Drew,

Your best bet is probably to find a direct entry program for people who already have a Bachelors degree in another field. Usually these 2nd degree BSN programs are more acclerated than traditional BSN programs.

Also, you might be able to find a direct entry program to get a MSN. These programs are not as common, but you might be able to find one if you do some hunting.

Best of luck!
