Posted over 4 years ago Hi. It's great to be able to come to this site. I have just begun taking a nursing assistant course, and hope to take other prerequisites next semester and start the nursing program next year. I wonder if any of you have experience with being a nursing assistant. I'm not sure whether to be a NA while I go to school or to keep my current job (working for a medical institution but not closely related to nursing). Any advice? Also, do any of you have experience getting your nursing degree going part-time? Any suggestions on the pros and cons of going part or full-time? |

| Posted over 4 years ago I've been going to school full time for RN. I graduate in 2009! I don't know much about a schedule for part time. SOme schools require you to be a full time student. You have to check your school in your area. The only "con" I can think of going part time is that it probably will take longer. I'm really not familar with schooling for nursing assistants. I wish you the best of luck in your ventures. Follow your heart and live your dream. |
