Come on, I know there has to be some smart nurses out there somewhere.

I have posted here months ago about the poor image of nurses and how we need to overcome these images. One begins with educating our families and friends about what it is that nurses really do. We are more than butt wipers.

Also, when you see an ad or a TV show that is degrading to nurses, send them a letter. I posted on here last year a letter that I sent to a company that resulted in an ad being pulled.

How smart are we? As smart as we let others think we are.  If we let others portray us in a degrading way than that says something about us does it not? In other words, we are real dumbasses if we let the poor images slide across the TV screens or media print and do nothing to correct it.

Yeah, I know people are going to treat you the way you let them. But, I do think since doctors have more lobbying power and money, they are the ones asked by script writres in hollywood to consult on a show's realistic portrayal of the medical profession. Of course, they make it look like they do it all. In the meantime, we're too busy or uninformed to respond to the fallacies. Maybe these doctors do think they do everything coming from their prespective. We know it isn't true. You know some of them do have illusions of granduer. LOL!!!

If someone who was not a nurse or wanted to be anurse, or just looking at this site they would think that nurses are dumber than a box of rocks. They would get that impression from the way we present ourselves on this likn. Just atake a look at other nursing sites. you will not find topics dedicated to such things as seen in the name game icecream soup and all of the other foolish topics. you will not find nurses bashing nurses. you will find inteligent cnverstations that stay on nursing and related topics.

You're correct Iluv about the games, which is one of the reasons I've asked repeatedly someone do something about putting the games in their own little niche.  Not to mention, I dislike having to search for reasonable discussions. 

If you are not very bright, can you at least try to give the appearnce of being a bright person to improve our images?

taht is spelled that, belived is believed, smat is smart, before correcting others you may want to pay attention to your own grammar and spelling. And making the point of pointing to others about bashing one another, you have done more bashing of other nurses here on this site than I have seen in a while, look in the mirror.

 I agree with starlight, lighten up stop shoveling each join us another human being and nurse or find a new site to bash others on, this is a nice site we all like it here, we all want to keep it a nice site without having to worry about being attacked for stupid reasons.
