Funding options for breastfeeding program

Posted over 4 years ago I am trying to find funding options for a breastfeeding program at our health department. We have applied for grants through the March of Dimes and SmartStart. Does anyone have any oher ideas for funding options or is there a philanthropist out there that woul dlove to throw some money this way? |

| Posted over 4 years ago Try some of the OB groups. Maybe the AMA. Also, try some of the nursing organizations. If I can think of anything else I will post. |

| Posted over 4 years ago You may try some of the Women's organizations at the large hospitals. Also check with some of the large universites and maybe you could do a joint venture. |

| Posted over 4 years ago Thanks guys- Unfortunately our "hospital" is not breastfeeding friendly. We have not been able to squeeze any money from them.....yet! I will look into the OB docs around here. I haven't thought of them. The closest university already funds a breastfeeding program in their county and aren't interested in going outside of their area. |
