Really Ready For a Change

Posted over 5 years ago Help! I'm stuck in corporate America and am very ready for a change. I am a 35 year old male who's been doing IT support for 14 years. I'm tired of doing a thankless job for backstabbers. I've always loved helping people and want to get into a job where I can see tangible results in my work. I am ready to make a life-change and a career change and just need some help in getting started. I'm glad I found this site, but some of this seems a little overwhelming at times. If anyone lives in the Central Florida area and can help out with school info or student debt forgiveness programs so I'm able to make this change, I'd appreciate it. Of course, advice from anyone is appreciated as well. I hope to be speaking to a lot of you soon! |

| Posted over 5 years ago Go for it. Nursing is my second career. We need men in this field. I worked in the computer field for years before going to school. Trust me, this is far more rewarding. |

| Posted over 5 years ago That's exactly what I'm looking for. Rewarding work where I can see I actually make a difference. Now the only hard part is going around and trying to find out just how to get started. I'd need help with grants/scholarships, etc but am more than willing to put in the hard work. If anyone has advice on how to get started, I'd appreciate that as well. Thanks all |
