Posted over 5 years ago Hello everyone. Glad to be a part of nursing and to have a place to share. I have been nursing for 3 years now and still love it. I don't, however, care for the politics that go with it. By that I mean, dealing with coworkers who sit back and watch you work and then take credit for a job well done, and the lack of support. Don't get me wrong, I do work with some really awsome nurses, but then there are the others. Some of us have tried to be a guide for those who aren't self motivated, but to no avail. Anyway, I live in Wyoming for now. I'm not real enthused about nursing in NE WY. I'm looking to tavel so that I may broaden my horizens. |

| Posted over 5 years ago Hello everyone. Happy to be a nurse. Just came to this site a few days ago. A Coworker of mine invited me to this site. I think it is great. I invited my friend of many years to join. I had been looking for a site like this. I have been in the nursing field for quite a few yrs. Ha Ha. I am a Ga. resident. The Nursing Field has changed a lot but the love for it has to be there. I love it! I have worked in TN, Ala, La, and hope to move again. I love it! |

| Posted over 5 years ago This is for boxerlewis, you might need to move around, I worked in a convalescent home as a regular CNA. Your right, the politics does wear you down. Thats's why I enjoyed working through registrys and I currently work at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, as a Hospital technician, and a nursing student, and I'm a float, which means I'm free from politics. You need a change. I am a proud mother of three beautyful daughter. I currently live in Los Angeles California. I've worked as a heathecare provider for almost 10 years. I am curently in school to pursue my MSN in nursing, and wants to work as a pediactric nurse, in public health. |

| Posted over 5 years ago What type of certification in nursing? You indicated you are a CNA in your profile, is that what you are trying to renew. I know in the state of Calfornia, you can renew your CNA certification only if you worked one day within 2 year in a skilled nursing facility or hospital, if not, you will have to retake the test all over again. Which means, you will have to pay. Since you are in Medical School, you might be eligible for the RN NCLEX exam, but not to seem like i'm nosey, but why you want to get your nursing certification, and you are going to school to be a doctor. | Posted over 5 years ago No matter where you work, you will find bad nurses, good nurses and better nurses. It is frustrating when you try hard and see others who don't seem to care. Sometimes you have to wonder why they even became nurses. You just have to do the best you can. |

| Posted over 5 years ago Hello, my name is Jessica. I am 24 married to a wonderful and supportive husband with a great family who is helping pay for my tuition and a mother to one beautiful little boy. I am staring my nursing classes next month working toward an ASN and I am sooo excited about it (way more than when I went to college the first time around). |
