Hi there! I'm writing from a national current events television news magazine. We're looking to interview nurses in NYC, NJ or Philadelphia, who have experienced "burn out" and quit-- either to return to nursing or even to start new careers. Please get in touch with me if you think you might know someone who might fit this description and would be animated for an on camera interview.

thanks!

Any nurse who has experienced "burn out" deserves to tell her story, no matter the locale. I worked with a very good nurse and watched her do a downward spiral for two years before she crashed. That happened after I left the hospital and involved giving her pt the wrong meds. Fortunately, her pt did not suffer for it, but she surely did. Don't know where she is now, but she and I started off on a not so friendly footing but became pretty decent co-workers. Couldn't do much to help her, she wasn't accepting help at that time in her life. The profession's loss.
