Hi there!

I'm a student in Los Angeles, trying to get all the pre-requisites done in order to get into a nursing programme. The nursing prgramme at my school is quite full and i have been told that the waiting period if selected in the random lottery is about 2 semesters. So, my questions are. If I try and apply to many of the other colleges and institutions that have a ADN programme to RN licence, and still have to wait depsite the many applications fulfilling all the pre-requisites. Is there another way to get the degree without waiting? Eg. if I attend the University Of Phoeniex is there a waiting period as well since its online? Are there any other suggestions?Even if it costs more...I am open to all options, as I really want to do this, but I want to do it as quickly as I can after fulfilling the pre-requisites.

Also,  looking at the allnursingschools website they list many different schools. I also saw schools listed on the Board OF Nursing. Are the schools listed on the board of listing accredited enough for a career in nursing versus one that seems to be NCLEX certified. Some schools are accredited but not bu y this one. For instance one of the schools I wanted to apply to is http://ladhs.org/wps/portal/!ut/p/c1/04_SB8K8xLLM9MSSzPy8xBz9CP0os_hAFz8jl2AXYwN3F2dTAyMXLz9397BgIwNXQ_1wkA7cKrxNIfIGOICjgb6fR35uqn6kfpQ5TlMszfVD9Auys9NcHBUVAfgeuO8!/dl2/d1/L0lDU0lKSmdvS1VRIS9JSFNBQ0lpTXlDb3FiRURBSUEhIS9ZQTQ1NDUwLTVGMHN0eWp3LzdfUUROMkRTRDMwR0RDNTAyREpOR0dWUzIwOTcvMl9fX183L2JmX2FjdGlvbi9TY2hvb2xPZk51cnNpbmc!/#7_QDN2DSD30GDC502DJNGGVS2097

and another would be at Santa Monica College that is accredited by NCLEX. What is the difference in accredition and how will it affect my career if the one school isnt accredited by the other?

Thanks for any information!
