Posted over 4 years ago Let's share some things that inspire us or make us feel good! Maybe some quotes or short stories that we can refer back to for a pick me up when we've had a bad day! I recently came across a quote that I believe is soooo true (and what I've been telling myself all these years when things are tough). The most beautiful people I know are those who have known defeat, known suffering, known struggle, known loss, and have found their way out of the depths. These people have an appreciation, a sensitivity, and an understanding of life that fills them with compassion and a deep loving concern. Beautiful people do not just happen. ~Roy Nichols ~ Melissa |

| Posted over 4 years ago People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
My grandmother inspires me because she lived a very hard life, and she courgeously fought to live, regardless of what the Doctors told her. My father inspires me because he broke the cycle of abuse, he gave my sister and I everything under the sun, and he loved us unconditionally. He inspires me because he too won't let Cancer stop him from life. My mother inspires me because she came to the US from England, as a nurse, so she could leave the abusive home she was raised in. She is a fantastic role model and one of the best mothers on this planet. |

| Posted over 4 years ago My children inspire me to be a silly heart, stay young, giggle often, play in the rain, smile often, cry with a friend, hold hands, kiss in the rain, and DON'T put anything off that you can do today because we are not promised tomorrow A good man loves other. A better man loves God. A great man loves God and lives well among others! I miss you daddy!

| Posted over 4 years ago Navy Wife, You are quite welcome. I really appreciate your post as well. It is so true, but we easily forget how to press on. Your family sounds like a fantastic group of people. It's such a blessing to know people who have experienced adversity...isn't it? My grammie was a remarkable person too. I am so thankful that she raised me. I have no doubt that I am the person I have become, because of her influence. We lost her two months ago, but I know she will live on in those she touched forever.

My mother inspires me because she went through an aweful divorce, raised me-my brother-and my sis on her own while working and going back to school. She didn't let circumstances defeat her. She is a Steele Magnolia!
