WHY do they have to use the HESI?

Posted over 4 years ago I was supposed to graduate with the class of 2007. During that class, we never used the HESI. Now, my program has decided to implement the use of the HESI. I do not feel it is a good tool because I scored very very well on my NLN Exit exam, but on my repeat of my fourth semester I had to take the HESI. Theidea was to score 850 or better, I scored an 839. What is the difference between the HESI and the NLN Exit exam...paper and pencil vs. computer. Oh yeah, and the students have to pay for the HESI each semester they take it on top of everything else we are expected to pay for. The NLN is a one-time payment. Money maker? I think--yes! |

| Posted over 4 years ago I feel your pain. I am remediating my HESI exit exam as we speak. It is a pain and more than half of my capstone class has to remediate. And we have to have all of our remediation done before we can graduate. |
