I am a R.N. with MS. I live in a city in MO. that has a population of about 75,000 residents. We have one hospital that is fairly large. I worked in OB for 15 years and also worked for a large group of OB/GYN Drs. I guess my primary reason for writing is to tell you the irony of so many nurses with MS.. I have 4 very close friends that I worked with that also has MS. There have been several studies done about nurses with MS because the population of nurses with MS is growing. I am doing OK. only working prn as I had to go on disability related to other issues re: MS. I want to advise you to be checked by a qualified Neurologist if you should have any symptoms. The key is to be diagnosed early as there is tx available now to slow down or even stop the progression of this devistating disease. MRI's are capable of confirming it. Thank you for allowing you to let me tell my story.

I also am a nurse and have MS. I have had MS since 1999. My mother and her brother had MS also. I have never seen any studies linking MS to nursing, but this is very interesting to me. Where can I read up on this. I am now 53 years old and was 44 when I was told I had MS. I just started a new group "nurses with disabilities" I would love to hear more about your situation. What shot are you on for your MS Thank you
