Posted over 5 years ago I am currently 28 years old and stay-at-home mother of three children for the past two years. I graduated high school in 1997 with a 3.95 GPA. I want to be a certified nurse midwife. I want to get started January 2008 but I don't know where to begin with my education or who I can speak with to get me started down the right path. I know I will need to obtain my RN with the advanced degree, but I just don't know where to start. Please Help!! |

| Posted over 5 years ago Take a look at what schools are near you or where you'd like to go. See what prgrams they offer, ADN or BSN... take a look at the curriculum they give, what pre-req's you need. If cost is an issue, see how much the program is, if they offer any financial assistance/bursary/scholarships... Good luck! |

| Posted over 5 years ago Hello everyone, I am new to this site. I am 28 years old with two children and I am ready to go back to school. My goal is to become a nurse in labor and delivery or in the mother and baby unit. I know this is years away and I've had people tell me it's too late for me to start but I'm excited about it. My problem is I recently moved to very rural Milford PA and I'm having a hard time finding out about colleges around here. I'm even willing to travel to near by New Jersey for schooling if I have to. I just really don't know where to start and it's all new to me because this would be the first time I attended college. Does anyone have any advice for me? |
